Early on in my career I worked in a nursing home. I’ll tell you, that is some of the hardest work you’ll ever do. There’s so much lifting. Then I worked in Morrisons for 30 years on the cash register. That can be quite a tiring job; you don’t get any time to doze off on a job like that, you’re always on the go.

I’m lucky enough to have two lovely children and one grandchild. She’s 13 years old, so keeping me on my toes in different ways now she’s a proper teenager.

I’ve always enjoyed walking and still try to do as much as I can. But a few years ago I started to develop a pain in my right knee. Suddenly little things you take for granted become really quite painful to do. Walking or going up and down stairs suddenly became a chore. My husband would turn to me and say, “Do you fancy going for a walk?” and I’d tell him to go without me because I knew it was going to hurt too much.

The problem is when you stop moving as much, it’s not just your physical health that starts to be impacted, it’s also your mental health. These days I do a lot of cleaning – for example, I’m currently cleaning my son and daughter-in-law’s house – and it’s amazing how much exercise cleaning can be if you’re doing it properly. It’s also incredibly therapeutic.

About five or six years ago the knee pain got too much to bear and I went to the doctor who diagnosed me with osteoarthritis. It was deemed bad enough that I needed to have a knee replacement. After the knee replacement I had to go through three months of rehab which is a lot of hard work. It did mean I got three months off work, but you have to keep exercising that new knee.

I made a full recovery and everything was going great. That was until the other knee started causing me pain. To begin with I tried things like ibuprofen gels but they didn’t seem to make any difference to me. So I started looking online for things to help knee pain and FlexiSEQ came up.

At first I thought: that’s too expensive. But as the pain got worse I started looking at online reviews for FlexiSEQ and everyone kept saying how much it had helped them so I decided to give it a try. I found a video online of how to apply FlexiSEQ, I followed that very closely as I wanted to be sure I was doing it right. I couldn’t believe how well it worked; it doesn’t matter how much you read something is great, until you try it yourself there is always that doubt in your mind. But my left knee started to feel great again. I was able to get up and down stairs without pain, I can clean again, which you need good knees to support you for. FlexiSEQ’s been wonderful for me.

I’ve recommended it to other people. I’m so convinced by it. I got my husband to try it when he had a bit of joint pain, the same with my sister-in-law. If anyone ever mentions they’ve got knee pain to me I always tell them that FlexiSEQ is working so well for me and they should give it a go.
